How to Manage your Business

Business management requires professionalism and I avoid getting into business coaching without understanding, what I call the Corporate Business Machine, Business Plan and Business Execution Process. It is like walking around in a dark room without reference points.

Business Machines
are designed to focus on specific market spaces and to make business and profits happen effectively with minimum resources to maximize results. The design of the Business Machine starts with defining the Corporate Business Sense, which basically is what you want to do in a specific marketplace. IBM calls this the management system level, which requires high level understanding of corporate business management. The Corporate Business Sense is explained further, from the operational perspective, in the Business Plan.

Business Plans starts with defining strategic and operational objectives, action processes and resources needed to reach objectives. Business is all about investing assets to win bigger assets and this is an important focus in the business plan. Business Plan structures can be very different and should be tailored for purpose. Brand and Customer focus (CRM) is an important part of making business and profits happen.

Business Execution & Coaching
requires a combination of knowledge, field experience and skills, which must be supported by a management process and communicated interactively to the whole organization with focus on key players. Business is all about Winning and Winning is all about Business Power, which comes from all parts of the Corporation. Operational Business Coaching is all about supporting people and organizations to Win Business.

Business management is something very personal and there are no universal solutions. This is, however, my schematic definition of Operational business management and Coaching.
